Adventures in...Science Projects??

Sooo...it's time for the annual nightmare...Science Fair! Lovely. 1st period Science brought us to the computer lab to research about science fair ideas. Google, to the rescue!

My partner and I searched...searched...and searched some more. We found some really weird ones too. Example: the following...

How do day-old chicks behave? ("According to observations in my environment, like, really mean, you know?")
Maggots! (eewwww...)
Are "green" detergents less toxic than regular ones? (This might not sound weird, but wait until you hear the procedure: Fill a jar with regular detergent, fill another with and "environmentally safe" one. Then, drop worms into each jar. later, count how many worms are alive or dead. EEWWWW! Animal cruelty, anyone?)

Yes, we picked a project FINALLY...irradiated radishes! Yum...right? Just pop the seed into the microwave...unless anyone has a gamma ray handy? Apparently, exposure to radiation will cause mutations. For our simpler version, we're going to grow a control radish, one that came from a 10-second-nuked seed, and a 20-second-nuked seed. Let's see if the nuked seeds grow at all...Update later!

Me, out.
